Can i clean the throttle body and inside pleum by just removing the plenum cover? As i have lpg and recently sealed near my throttle, i cant be bothered taking everything off, including the throttle body, as with gas the connections are so tight and stiff(hose/pipe connecitons from throttle to mixer to maf etc). It looks it will be easier to remove plenum top and clean throttle from the back. Is it safe to spray and clean throttle with throttle body cleaner and for it to run down the intake runners ??? etc ? Also is there a gasket that needs replacing for the plenum cover ?

    Thanks

personal choice, no i wouldn't. when you use carby cleaner, the crap disolves into the cleaner, and when it drips down the runners it'll re-solidify in the runners adn you'll have the same problem on the back of the valves.

yeah there's a rubber gasket under the lid, but they're reusable unless damaged

Thanks for the reply. I will probably just stuff the intake runners with some cloth to catch any runnoff.
