It seems as though when one thing f*cks up in my car the rest decide to as well.

I am getting a consistant clicking noise exactly the same as the blinker noise. I can stop it by slightly pushing the indicator lever up but whenever the car gets knocked (bumps etc) its starts clicking again.

I'm assuming the problem lies somewhere in the contact points of the lever??

Any input would be great before i start pulling the steering column apart next weekend.

    Cheers

I think you may need a new indicator stalk. They do wear a lot due to constant use.I don't know if it's possible to pull yours apart and clean the contacts.

its probably a relay turning on and off. does your indicator stalk control anything else on VTs, like cruise or something?

Yeah it controls Cruise, Indicators and High Beam.

The funny thing is, that when it starts clicking like a maniac, its not affecting the blinkers, and when i do use the blinkers they blink at the normal speed.

Ill be pulling it out next weekend to see if i can clean it.

see if you can hear where the noise is coming from. pull out some relays whiles it doing it and see if that stops it
