I've got an issue with my 2014 Calais, where my drivers side zone blows considerable warmer air than the passenger side, even if the drivers side is set to a cooler temp than the other. it's only started in the last couple of days

Mine is also doing that - I noticed it last Tuesday. I checked the hot/cold door is doing its full movement and it is. I noticed the high pressure line (under the bonnet) was covered in an oily substance and then found a pin-prick hole in the rubber hose between the high pressure test port and the compressor.
I have it booked in for Wednesday so I'll find out if that's the entire problem.

All fixed. Discharge pipe was stuffed. Common fault apparently
