Can you get the climatecontrol bulbs from jaycar or are the bulbs one piece just like the bulbs for the level 3 cluster ?

Hey mate, had this same issue myself recently. Jaycar don't sell the exact ones you need but I picked up some a couple of long-legged pearl globes which I managed to fit into the existing bulb holders inside the unit. Downside is that it's not quite as bright as it once was but considering the prices Holden charge for OEM ones, they'll do fine.. ;)

Sorry guys I'm a little lost. I thought you could replace them with the led kits that are sold on eBay? I was going to do this, or am I wasting my time?

The above Narva 47734 bulbs are NOT the same as the GM ECC (Electronic Climate Control) illumination bulbs.
The correct bulbs have a 1/2" (~12.7mm) diameter base, not 10mm, and the contacts are not in line with the bayonet tangs, but at 90°.
I spoke to Narva and they assured me that they do not have the correct GM bulbs.

The GM bulbs go by 3 different part numbers and these may simply be a case of with the green "condoms" or without. The prices were the same on each part number.
92140514, 92140515 & 92142572, all having the same disgusting price of $12.70 each plus tax.
Apparently these are also used in some Volvo ECCs and go by the Volvo part number 9472403, with an even more disgusting price of $20 each.

However, I have ordered a qty of 10 x-USA and am waiting for them to arrive. They appear to be identical to the GM bulb and if they are correct, I'll have 10 for less than au$30 landed.
I'll update this thread when the postman comes. :)

Did they have them at the counter?
..or did you have to dismantle a dash, remove the ECC, then dismantle the ECC in order to pocket the used bulbs?

Got bulbs.. HEAPS cheaper than the ~$75 that Holden want for just 6 of them. ;)

Only difference is base is grey instead of black.

Illumination matches the instrument panel's OE bulbs perfectly.

Just wanted to bump this one up again. Are you able to tell me where you got the bulbs sent from in the US? Otherwise do you still have any of the bulbs that you are selling? Are they the same in the LCD as behind the buttons of the climate control unit?

    Thanks heaps mate.

The Gumtree ad is no longer, but I still have some.
There should also be an old ad in classifieds here too.
I am selling sets of 6 (the ECC requires 6) for $30 posted Australia wide. ;)
Add $4 a bulb for quantities more than 6.
PM me for PayPal or Direct Deposit details. ;)

I hear that GM are now over $15 a bulb now!!

See my pictures on page 1 of this thread. Apart from the grey bases, the bulbs are identical. :)

    Cheers.

This is a little bit of a thread dig, but i just purchased Globes From Holden. I got the 3 globes that go into the cluster windows, They are different from the Climate control ones they are smaller in diameter and taller (Pictures For Reference). You can buy these globes from the USA for half the price off eBay just look for Halogen T5 Neo Wedges for the climate control and Halogen T4 Neo Wedges for the cluster. Two problems with the ones from the USA are that they are not the right height (Not sure if it matters much) and they have no green condom for the LCD Displays (could use the old ones i suppose).

Here is a part number listings from this nifty site that covers the Chevy Caprice (Same Part numbers for most stuff except left hand drive specific parts):
    https://chevrolet.7zap.com/en/caprice/51250-1999/90510-0-0/08.375-0-0-0/#3
    https://chevrolet.7zap.com/en/caprice/51250-2001/90511-0-0/09.100-0-0-0/
    https://chevrolet.7zap.com/en/caprice/51250-2001/90503-0-0/02.805-0-0-0/#4

Here are the exact part numbers:

    - Cluster Window Globes: 92140550 ($23.02)
    - Climate Control (Clear): 92140515
    - Climate Control (Green): 92140514

Not sure of the prices of the others as i didn't buy them but i did include a screenshot of an eBay ad selling the climate control globe set brand new. Just thought this information would be handy for anyone else searching for these bastard globes.

Hi there, I had a VT Berlina Sedan [Wife's Car] and VX Berlina Wagon [My Car] and the same issue with the both Climate Clusters with Globes blown,
So I pulled the Climate Control Clusters out, removed the blown globes, and replaced them Green LED's.
I had to do a little bit of ingenuity to get them to fit,
I had to ream the hole out a little bit when the globe sat [with a drill bit, by turning by hand/fingers,
and file the rim off the 5mm Green LED, and poked the LED's through the globe base,
Solder the 760 ohn Resister on one LED leg of the LED, place a bit of small shrink sleaving over the soldered resistor and LED leg that was protruding from the back of the existing globe base,
the then fold the 2 conductors around under the base to make contact with the circuit board.
What I also did was roughed the LED up with a piece of Wet & Dry to give it a defused effect,
and the rest is history, and they were a nice clean green light.
the only other thing I had to do, was plug the Climate Control Cluster back in, and turn the ignition/lights on, and put the LED's in the correct way, being they are polarity conscious, as soon as you make one up, the rest are really simple, hope this helps.
