I recently purchased a VF CalaisV 2013 and it's great but I can't figure out how to run the climate control fan without the engine running like you can with majority of other cars.
Is there a way of running the fan just in accessory mode? I know the air conditioner can't run but a fan would be nice.
Thanks.

Just press the starter button without having your foot on the brake (if an auto) or clutch (if a manual). That puts it into accessory mode and, for example, you can use the radio without having the engine on. Not sure if the fan will also work but it's worth a try.

Hold down the start button without your foot on the brake for approximately 10 seconds.

The car will turn on as if you have started it without the engine running.

I wouldn't called this accessory mode though.

That worked. Thanks!

I'm sure it's not bad for the car in this mode obviously?

It'll only stay on for a short time anyway... so I doubt it will run your battery down or anything.
