This should work on VN and Vp Might also work on later models, I'll look into it

1. Turn the ignition from OFF to ON (start car)

2. PUSH and HOLD DOWN the OFF button on the Climate Control Unit
(MUST be done within 10 seconds of turning ignition to ON)

3. Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) should now display the TOP part of the .8 if not there is a fault (or you took too long)

4. PUSH the HOT button

5. A number between 20 and 27 should now appear, 20 is GOOD anything else is a fault. (LOOK at fault codes at #5)

6. PUSH the HOT button again

7. LCD should display 31 and should be blowing out at the face on recirc mode, low fan speed and compressor on, heater tap off.

8. Push DEF button

9. LCD should display 32 and should be blowing out at the face and floor on recirc mode, med high fan speed and compressor on, heater tap off.

10. Push DEF button

11. LCD should display 33 and should be blowing out at floor only on freash air, medium blower fan and compressor off, heater tap on.

12. Push DEF button

13. LCD should display 34 and should be blowing on windscreen and floor, high fan speed, compressor on and heater tap on.

14. Push DEF button again.

15. LCD should display 35 and should be blowing on windscreen only, high fan speed, compressor on and heater tap on.

16. Push the HOT button.

17. LCD should display 4.

18. Push DEF Button again.

19. LCD displays outside air temp.

20. Push DEF button

21. LCD displays interior temp.

22. Push DEF button

23. LCD displays evaporator air Inlet temp.

24. Push DEF button

25. LCD displays evaporator temp.

26. Press FAN button

27. LCD should be at 0 IF not use HOT and COLD buttons to get it to 0.

28. Turn Ignition OFF.

#5 codes
20. OK
21. Outside sensor (ambient)
22. Interior sensor
23. Water temp sensor problem
24. Air sensor
25. Sun sensor
26. Air temp mix motor
27. Evaporator Thermister Problem

Hope this helps...came from some old notes I made...let me know what models it works on and if its right.

Didn't work on my VS, couldnt get the first part working when holding down the off button.

Sorry for the delay, the test worked a treat, now I have to check the "Sun Sensor"
