Continuing on from the locked thread regarding this topic, I have just been advised that there will be no more of these imported from the USA as the exchange rate is just too cost prohibitive now, so this means that the ones that are remaining in personal captivity will go through the roof money wise.

Expect to pay over $200 for a new still in the packaging.

Why not just buy them direct from the US. This is where I got my last one from.

Have you priced one lately including shipping ? Especially with how our lousy dollar is at the moment.

Yep and that's why they've all been sold via the eBay seller "ad-87" for years who was bringing them in in batches so as to lower the cost on shipping even though he was making a living with them and many other parts it was the only cost effective way of obtaining them. Now that's gone it's import yourself or go without and these are a part that are a bit of a bugger when they misbehave.

My auto elect. has fixed a couple of them for me.
I had him test a 2nd hvac system (for me before l installed it in the car) & it didn't test out any good, so he repaired it.
If l had of known, l would ave just swapped it with a working one l already had.
So now l have a spare. Which maybe handy for later on?

Australian dollar has been slowly falling for years. Unless we get a surge in exports as well as the US dollar falls like it did back in the height of the mining boom the Aussie dollar is unlikely to regain what we have lost over the last 10 years.

Yep I couldn't agree more, this Corona Virus is only short term but the AU vs the Greenback has been on the slide for quite some time now and I can't see it improving anytime soon.

So yes I totally agree wish Losh.
