was driving home this arv and the engine cutout and wouldn't restart even after 2 hours, the previous owner said he replaced the dizzy which has the crank sensor correct so that rules that out probably, also has new regulator. I did notice the key would only unlock the car when I'm very close. I have done a lot of reading and am lost for an answer, help!!!!!
How about coil ? I've that happen once also sometimes even new parts can fail its usually very rare but can happen
Don't think the 5.0L came with a CAS, But it might of been a Cam Angle Sensor instead. None the less it could be your "Hall effect sensor" that is playing up. Is it throwing any error codes?
Woke up early and walked to the car, still won't start even when cold. Which pins do I bridge again? And procedure?
You will need to bridge pins 5&6, have posted the links for the V8 fault codes the guide below. Guide http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...22307-checking-error-codes-vr-vs-revised.html Fault codes Just Commodores - For All Your Holden Commodore Needs
Faulty coil or ignition module. Ignition module is the easiest to replace. Coil is difficult due to lack of clearance. See if you can borrow an ignition module from someone to see if that's the problem.
The guy I bought the car from 2 days organized a tilt tray for me through his racq and we dropped the car off at the local auto leckies, will keep ya's posted. Who the guru on here to ask about parts?? I need a few things, rear decals for one
