Clubsport upgrades

Hi guys, i have a vp clubsport sitting around atm, i had a fairly serious accident a couple years back and basically i cant afford to get the damage in the front end fixed as i have a baby on the way etc, its mostly just a front radiator support panel needs straightening or replacing then i can fit all the rest myself, however as i am a mechanic i can afford to do some cheap mods just to keep me intrested for the time, ive rebuilt the front suspension with nolothane, new control arms, new front pedders struts and springs so thats all done, is there any cheap mods i could do engine wise? i dont want to get too involved with opening the engine up but any little tricks with a 5 litre to give it a bit more ?
