Hi

All the needles have stopped worked at the same time. Everything else works fine on the cluster including the digital display. Says Everything is OK when turning car on. In diagnosis mode Everything lights up but the needles don't even budge.

Removed cluster and gave it a shake, no rattles.

Before it died it stuck on 1000rpm 20km/h. Restarted car and then no movement, all needles at original position.

Please help

I’d suggest going to the wrecker and grabbing a cluster on the cheap and plug it in to see if the problem repeats with another cluster. It doesn’t matter what it’s out of, as long as it’s VZ. V6 or V8 and no matter what model. You might get gauges out a bit and a warning light for airbags if it’s from a different configuration or model to yours. That’s fine. You just get it to prove the fault.

To further @Fu Manchu post, VZ instrument clusters have a black section where the loom plugs into the back....

He helped me out with this information when the cluster in my VY shat itself, making sure I got the correct cluster for my car...

I think it was mode and set at the same time. Turn the key to accessories?

I’ll go have a try right now…

Yeah.
Mode and set
Turn key to ignition but don’t start the car.
Press mode to cycle through the various options.
Get to trouble codes and the next bit is gauge test. I got a video.
I also had a binary trouble code.

Doh! It’s cool though. A post cat heater circuit issue.

I have a Calais cluster in the Crewman and I love it.
