On my way home last night i noticed that my clutch peddle had a lot of slack, and it got worse. By the end I couldn't change gears. luckily i was only about 15 km from home and managed to keep it in second.

In gear it had no problems, but trying to get it out of gear and select another gear was impossible.

I'm thinking, well hoping that the clutch cable has just streched ($50 for a new one), or possibly the thrust bearing has collapsed (pain the ass and a few days off the road)?! I haven't had a chance to look yet, but thought I'd get some other input.

    Anyone else have any idea's?

    Could be pressure plate!

    Hi,

Sounds like to pressure plate has let go to me.

Could be time for a clutch kit.

At least you don't have a dual mass flywheel to worry about.

Hope all sorts out well, and quick.

    Cheers.

Yeah, I dropped the box on saturday, and the preasure plate has crapped itself. Thrust bearing has worn the fingers on the pressure plate.

oh yay $325 for a new clutch kit..... fun fun fun.
