Hey i was just wondering if ne1 else has this problem.

ive noticed that the factory clutch wears out pretty quickly on the v6s. i replaced it only 20000kms ago n already its startin 2 show signs of wear.

i admit that i dont always cradle her, but surely it shouldnt wear out that quickly.

ne comments would b appreciated.

thanx

Not to sure what the wear rate is, but i just replace mine with 110,000kms on the clock. As far as i know its the first time its been replaced. But i would have liked to get more than 110,000kms out of a clutch.
But you get that when you buy an ex-telstra car.

Did yours feel heavy when it went, mine was heavy from that day i bought it (95,000kms), now its as little as.

Mine was just replaced when I bought my car under warranty with 83,000km's on it, it was becomming noisy and generally very rough.

Ive been told the stock clutch is not very good, so when this one goes on me
id probably go for a heavy duty clutch.

i bought mine at around 60000kms n at about 90000 it did start 2 feel quite heavy. by 100000 it was completely gone so i got it replaced then n felt sweet as.

now, at 120000kms its startin 2 show signs of wear yet again.

Yeah, my clutch went @ about 90,000...
Got a new one put in and i feel that its starting to slip again!

So after this clutch goes i think im gonna get a "textilia" or sumfin clutch...
Not sure how it's spelt but apparently they can be put in an LS1 no worries and don't wear out...
So that should solve my problems...

BTW, how much for the PBR clutch??

PBR clutch was $460 and $550 for heavy duty. Genuine holden is $550 and it's not heavy duty. Only paying more coz it has HOLDEN writin on it.
Its called TEXTRALIA and ur looking at $900 and over for clutch kits
