code P0001 can any-one help with this car won:t start

The info I found for this code is:
It relates to the electrical system as part of the fuel volume regulator system
High pressure fuel pumps have a low pressure side and high pressure side, and a fuel volume regulator which controls the pressure
P0001 refers to an electrical reading that is "open"

Potential causes of this code:
Failed fuel volume regulator (FVR) solenoid
Fuel Volume Regulator wiring/harness electrical problem (wiring short, corrosion, etc.)

The tool you used probably can ready the fuel pressure . Have a look if you have any pressure when ignition key is in first Position.

If there is pressure but below specs the issue could be the regulator.

If there is no pressure at all:
Check the Fuel pump fuse and relay.
You might be lucky and fine a relay of the same type to swap around for troubleshooting.

thanks for that info but can you tell me where the fuel regulator is on a VE SS V8

tis a 08 VE SS V8 where is the relay?thanks for that.
