Hey! I have a series 1 VE SSV V8 Auto with 105xxxkm and I have had 2 problems in the 12 months that I've owned the car which has logged this code P0770 (transmission code). First time, cruising along about 60km and suddenly 'Contact Dealer' came up on the dash, traction and stability went off and a few things carried on. We cleared the codes and it was operating again as normal. Just recently, I was coming to a stop at the lights and 'Contact Dealer' came up on the dash again, ESP off, and the P (park) was illuminated instead of D (drive). I accelerated when the light went green and I don't think it changed gear. I stopped in a carpark and turned the car off. As I put the gear up into P, I heard a pretty terrible grinding noise. I waited a while and started it. It came up with the engine light and ESP off on the dash. Waited for my friend to bring the scan tool, it brought up P0770 again. Cleared the code and have been driving it since. I'm really keen on some info about it and would appreciate what anyone has to share about it.
Thankyou. I have done that. And have also spoken to a mate who works at a transmission shop. Just thought I'd see if anyone else has seen this issue before and what they could tell me.
