hi guys. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if the removal of the inlet manifold is required to change the spark plugs and coil packs on a 3LTR SIDI engine? I know the 3.6ltr it is needed but not sure on the 3ltr. I’m trying to eliminate a misfire code which happens every few months. Cheers.

If it’s the SIDI engine - no.

And that goes for the 3.0L or 3.6L

The Alloytec 3.6L does need to remove the manifold because it is a lot wider.

On the Alloytec 3.6 you can get away with just loosening the bolts enough to lift the manifold without the need to remove it completely
