Hey gang have been looking on fleabay and seen a few ls1 over the rad intakes cheap and was wondering if any body has fitted one to a vn 5.0? If so does it take much to mod or does it hit the bonnet?
An intake designed for an LS1 fitted model is quite obviously not going to fit an earlier 5.0L model. However there are factory style OTR intakes available, search ebay.
Seen a few for the 5 ltr vn but seen a dew for the 5.7 and there cheaper too.. Was just wondering if it's possible or if someone has done it.. There is 1 from a 5.7 with air box and over the rad air..
The throttle body locations are in entirely different spots, the body and bonnet ar completely different, the piping size iff different. It won't bloody work.
Just because the CAI is off a GenIII doesn't mean your 304 is going to gain bigger intake ports and 200rwkw. Just get a regular, cheap, second hand CAI off a normal VN-VS V8 or (for bonus points) make your own.
Made my own on my old vn berlina years ago but when I bought my vr ss it had a hsv cai but when I got my vn Calais it has the behind the head light crap job.. Been hunting wreckers but don't come up and eBay there all 2 day drive and people don't post or add the extra 20 for there time and effort to post it..
