hey guys just another thread lol, but i am seeking fresh ideas about my vt v6 s2 auto, after having checked every possibble thing as far as engine management goes, i am leaning towards a collapsed lifter, or maybe a worn cam, or a slack timing chain....it occasionally rattles like the dreaded ecotec rattling lifter then it can be good for week or 2 then only occur so u can just pick it up, now those of you that havnt read my other post, basically when the engine idles with no load, it stumbles... an is now starting to do it even in gear so its getting worse whatever it maybe, where as it would never do it in gear it ran 100% perfect in gear?? anyone with similar problem or if u can shed some light on my situation would be appreciated :p

Are the rocker arms/valves still actuating properly? Have you tried taking off the rocker covers and turning the motor over (without starting it) to make sure each rocker arm is moving correctly?
