Column shift and dash questions

Went to wrecker and couldn't find parts to suit my steering column shrouds as they are different to the ones he had. He reckoned VR column shift still have wiper stalk. This is my set up and it seems rare indeed? Or is my set up normal?

And that's what I thought. But the wrecker boss was adamant that the columns have the wiper stalk. The shroud he showed me had a hole for the stalk and a slot for the shifter. It was apparently off a VR but it was not going to fit mine, it looked like a VS one with the window moulded into the top housing. He looked at my set up and said he has never seen one like it. He even asked another bloke who is either a boss as well or just an employee and he never seen one like mine either, I'm like WTF, maybe mine is VP shroud FIIK??

I think what the wrecker was showing me was VS and not VR at all. I looked at a VS set on a column wagon at the self serve wrecker and it was different to mine and wouldn't fit. And the one he showed me today looked a lot like the VS set. I just can't remember if the one i saw had a wiper stalk hole.

Yes that looks very much like it. I don't like the price though, whollll, 110 bucks. I wonder if mine has a VP one in it. Although weird because mine doesn't have wiper stalk and surely it would be a fair amount of ******* around to fit the dash switches. Which makes me wonder if VR have the same one as VP?

Yeah $110 is bloody pricey, I'm guessing Holden used left over stock from the VP's and fitted it to the earlier VR's to get rid of it.

I know some VR's had the same column shift surrounds as the VS's.

That would explain it. I need to find a VP one at a reasonable price. That does make it easier to look now i know what i need. Finding a good one for say 40 bucks might be my only challenge. No good having one with a big hole, it would look stupid.

Anyone know where I can buy one of these dash wiper control buttons? I'm tossing up putting the buttons back in, opposed to installing and wiring a stalk into the column.
