Hey I’ve got a vy series 2 auto and I can go into reverse, park but as soon as I go to go In drive I have to force it down. What could it be

Button is fine just whenever I drive go into drive I’ve gotta force it

so you are in park, push the button down, move the shifter towards Drive and you have to force it there with the button still held down? that what you saying?
if so get under it, disconnect the link to the tranny and see if the tranny shifts ok and see if the problem is in the linkages or the tranny.
