Commodore misfire

Hey guys, have had a misfire in my 95’ vs commodore I have replaced the plugs, leads and coil packs along with the card underneath the coil packs. Still have a miss, holds shitty idle and when I give it abit is just misfires even more, could it be a possible cat failure and if so how do I test it? Only got common hand tools

Missfires can be O2 related. Also blocked or underperforming cats. Underperforming PCV system. MAP sensor ok? TPS?

Have you checked fuel pressure/flow? Lack of fuel will cause symptoms like you describe.

Maybe its your wiring harness to the DFI, best to hook up your car to a scan system to pin point the issue. This will tell you if its O2 sensor or spark issue, good luck.

Lol could be your engine. No but seriously as you've seen it can be a number of things how prepaird are you to diagnose this? Do you have the diagnosis equipment? I just had one come into work with a miss and I'm trying to find a way to palm it off to a workmate as it could be a one hour fix or a two day fu.ck around.

Fuel will show up accross all 6 cyl a cat will be 3 same with O2. My guess is it will still be spark or a dead injector.

Sorry I realised just now it's the older style six lol sorry. It will likely be an injector repco/bursons sell exchange sets.

Check to see if you have any fault codes possible faulty TPS

Figured it out, as was suggested it was a blocked cat. thanks everyone for the help, greatly appreciated.
