Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
does that matter?
Hyundai had a crappy sub-par product that they turned around, as a result they are making buckets of money.
This is something GM can do, they don't need to do it in the same segments - but they'd be foolish to ignore what has worked.
Isn't that something GM done?
Isn't/wasn't hyundai under the GM banner?
"Hey, look at that f#ckwit with a Holden badge on a Chev"
Possible, just import the Camaro or Corvette if you want a performance vehicle. The plebes get the FWD 4 cylinder.Make the commodore an electric vehicle.
2018 is about enough time to do some home work and get it up and running.
A lot of cars will be electric by 2020, why not start off with the all new electric commodore.
I personally think it will just be a re badge of whatever daewoo/opel car gm chooses to import to aust/nz.
on top of that, it wont be rwd, it wont be a V8 and wont be a 'good' performance vehicle.
I dont think they're are looking at producing a 'car guy' type car - more an economy type vehicle that can take the average family in (what they think is) style.
The gm/ford muscle battle will be with existing imports not yet readily avalible in rhd, the commodore (unless made into something unique - cue electric vehicle) will unfortunately dwindle down to a point that know one will care about it.
Having personally sat in and played with a tesla model s, i can tell you this type of car and styling imo is great.
Holden Chevrolet Bolt electric car wows Detroit motor show
just needs to be made model s size and bam! New commodore!!!
Thats my 2 cents...
