I'm curious to know what bolt heads on Commodore's VT - VZ are metric and what are imperial. I recall seeing somewhere that engine related bolts are AF?
I did my struts recently and got a 15/16 spanner for the tops, this goes against the general consensus that it's a 24mm bolt

The VR Buick has imperial engine bolts and the rest is metric. When I asked a while back someone mentioned some bolts on the Eco engine are imperial as well.

I wanna build my set, one by one and not sure if I need to only get metric. As mentioned, the strut tops were 15/16 which surprised me

It's way cheaper to buy sets than buy individual spanners, like 10x more in the long-term to buy each individual spanner compared to kit buying. A number of kits come with both imperial and metric.

I know, Im struggling with that point. Don't wanna pay upfront, maybe spread the cost over a few months

You can get a Sidchrome set of combination spanners imp and met for under $100 on special. A 19mm combination one will set you back probably $25, same with an 18mm. Up to you. You often need two of the same size so IMO it makes no sense anymore buying single spanners unless you already have a couple of each size.

A lot of these sets do not have every spanner, like oh we didn't think you wanted a 21mm but you definitely need a 22.
Then some give you 6,7,8,9mm, never need them
I agree, if I can I should.
Anyways, the real question is what Commodores have on them

The bolts on the body, suspension and interior will be metric
