commodore vs SII lost pace & idling was 4 rpm

Hi recently i have experienced in driving at 110 km/ph on highway suddenly my car lost the pace and rpm went to 4 instead of 2. i parked the car on sideway and checking with my torch light, nothing much i found it i waited for 5 mins and started its driving normal,
please help me
what might the cause which i lost the pace for a while. coolant is full and good.

Could be a converter issue/OD.

I would take the car to an auto trans place to get it looked at. Torque convertor could be stuffed or the trans might have randomly thought it was a good idea to shift into 2nd gear, either way an auto trans workshop would be able to give you a better idea of whats wrong

hows the auto fluid level? also is there any error codes? ive herd a faulty or bad throttle position sensor can cause stuff like this
