My VT and VZ share a lot in common. I don't understand why there is no common forum VT-VZ. I found a thread that solved a long time annoying problem I had with my VT, in the VY forum, this is why there needs to be a common forum.

Doesn't the search function make the whole forum common ?

We only have one JC forum, with multiple threads.

Doesn't the search function make the whole forum common ?

It sure does, and it's a very handy tool.
Some members are obviously to lazy to use it so they just start a new thread.
Then they get all bitchy when nobody replies and complain that things should be grouped together because it doesn't make any sense to them because they couldn't find something.

I find Google works quite well and probably a bit better than the JC search function. Google normally gives you the option of a JC thread regarding the question you have.

You are right Matt about sometimes you don't get a reply or just one or two replies. There is one exception to the rule though. No matter how many times a thread gets created about "what oil?" you are guaranteed to get at least 100 replies within 3 weeks of posting.....

I respectfully disagree. If there is a thread with nuggets of information ( like I just found ) in the VY forum, why would I be searching there if I do not own one?
Yes I browsed the VY forum and got lucky, I was not searching for a particular "help me ", I just stumbled on some gold that would fit perfectly in a common forum because it is specific to Commodores over 20 years

..But, hey it's just my opinion and that probably means nothing

The thing is, the forum needs to be categorised in some way and believe it or not by model is the best way to do that. We could categorise by engine type or transmission or wheel size but it wasn't.

Yes, it isn't perfect but no matter how it's done it will never please everyone. Such is life unfortunately.
