If I am going to run gas only I should be able to take advantage of the increased octane rating of LPG.
Does any one have any suggestions about a sensible CR to shoot for ?

Hey mate, remember, dont go too crazy on the c/r, b'cos the power you loose with a lower c/r you more than make it back with advanced timing, it all depends on your cam really - the main thing is to acheive a c/r to suit the cam and then work on the tune from there.
good luck , let us know how you go it.

GRA setup i take it ?

Yes GRA.

I've been playing with the idea of making up a twin throttle body to go with it either progressive throttles or sync'd.

Pity GRA no longer market cams. Anybody know why ?
