computer turns off buy it self

hey lads my computer turns it self off randomly and turns back on after about 1 second what do u think could be causing it?

Dodgy power supply? What brand is it, what wattage is it, and what components do you have in your computer?

Virus/spyware? Run an anti-virus scan and an anti-spyware scan.

Do you get a BSOD before just before it shuts down. you can check by pressing F8 at boot up and disabling automatic restart at system failure. If you do get a BSOD it sometimes means you need to do some malware scans.
