hey, i just put a VP motor in my car and i was using the vn s1 loom for it just cut up a little, i then decided to ditch it and go get a VP loom (out of a 93VP)
anyway they'res a black and a grey connector that go to the fuse box/relay box now they look the same except the vn s1 has 6 pins and the vp has 5 pins and the VP plug wont fit in due to a extra groove, my question is,

is the wiring the same, ie if i cut the groove into the new plug will the wiring work, oooor is it diffrent, (this is the loom with the injectors, coils, and all sensors on it...)

    need help asap :D

maybe getting wiring diagrams for both would be a good place to start, or get a few cold ones ready and start following wires back untill u know what every wire is there for.

if series 2 vn motors are the same as vp motors you should just get another series 1 loom. there is only two wires ya have to change. shorten one and lengthen one.. i was going to use a series 1 loom in my car when i did my motor swap and i was told it is a lot easier to use a series 2 loom in a series 2 car.. just to alter the wires

yeah that woulda been the go but i didnt know this untill after i had purchased the loom

the motor was working on my s1 loom, you dont need to lengthen it, just unravell the electrical tape and pull those 2 wires out :)

spot on, no point waiting for the next bit of wiring shielding to become brittile and crack away grouding to the engine... most of it was patched up anyway from where it had cracked and id repaired it, new loom appears to work soo thats good news :p but i just havnt had the time to work on the car
