Converting VN to Climate Control

Only got fan speed No 3 for now. 1 & 2 = fail for now....

sounds like the resistor has failed. common problem and for a clever guy like yourself a real easy fix after pulling out the entire dash

Macgyver i mean green will be able to rig one up out of a lighter and salad fork eheh. Hopefully its only the resistor so its a simple fix!

are the climate and normal fan resistors the same?

I know in later models they are different. In a VT with climate they have what is called a Fan Speed Motor Control and not a Fan Motor Resistor.

No not the same - I have the correct unit (2) and none make it work.

The standard system has a 4 speed fan setting and climate has 3.

Here is a photo of the resistors and wire diagram of the blower control I need to find.

EDIT: - lookiing right at it......

So the fan speed problem is related to the wiring of the fan speed (old system) to the new some how...

the resistor pack on the left looks like the climate one. thought the climate control wiring loom would have included the wiring going to the resistor module. if not maybe you need to go to the wreckers......
