Hi crew, Got a series 1 v6 that i suspect has a coolant blockage. I have drained & flushed the radiator & refilled, I drove it a bit & smells hot but is not overheating & reservoir is full. I undone the drain plug on engine block and nothing came out could she be blocked or could a dud water pump be the cause? water pump spins freely & no leaks could the fins be gone? Any suggestions??

Was the radiator cap off when trying to drain from the block?
Stick a small screwdriver in the hole and move it around to see if it's blocked, hopefully this will unblock it, maybe not completely but will tell you if there something there. Now I'm saying only use hand force, don't hammer the tool into the block if you meet any resistance.

Quick update, all fixed. There was a bit of sludge come from the block when i removed water pump to check. I removed thermostat as well as heater hoses & flushed everything back & forth until clean, massive slug of crap came from the heater core too. then refilled & all seems to be good now.
Cheers

Yeah, people should run the car with the heater full on every few weeks to stop corrosion & sludge build up and change coolant every couple of years. The heater tip isn't mentioned much these days, you only read/hear to run the air.
