Coolant Hose's VX V6

Hi Guys.

Looking to replace the mrs VX Coolant hoses, Getting some age and coming into summer time to replace them.
Found plenty of packs with 7 hoses, My Question is, the car only has 6 hoses. 2 to the radiator and 4 for the heater tap. The pack includes a U shape by pass hose. Like so.

Any Clue what's it for ? Just curious. been over all 3 of my manuals and only mention i find is its for a supercharged 6, even though the kits say its for a non supercharged 6.

Have you checked around the intake manifold and down the back of it.

I Have replaced The Manifold gaskets before and no such thing found, i know the older VR had a inlet hose at the rear but not for the ecotecs.

It looks like a pipe you would use to by pass the heater tap run of hosing, looks like it would go on the engine outlet/inlet to/from the heater tap.
If you can not see it anywhere on your engine, then don't worry, just keep it as spare.

Yeah thats all i can put it down to for bypassing the heater core. Thanks all.
