Hi All,

My 2009 VE SV6 is leaking coolant from the top front of the motor.
Coolant stains are all over the front of the motor and in the sump cover.
I have topped up the coolant a number of times. The coolant reservoir is
always dry when I check. The car is not running hot.

Any suggestion on what it might be and cost to repair.
I'm guessing a water pump related issue.
The car has done 200K KM's.

Thanks,
Gary

Checked the oil? If it looks like ice coffee, coolant and oil are mixing because of a blown head gasket.

What Fu Manchu posted will be your issue, very common to be miss diagnosed and also over looked. Fairly cheap to do yourself

As above, replace the two rubber seals and your problem will most likely be solved. They cost about $25 depending where you go.

Hey Dajoker,
Oil looks normal.
Leak looks to be at the same location as per Fu Manchu's video. (great video dude. thanks..)

I Will have a crack at replacing the seals as per the advise from Fu Manchu and greenac.

I will update this post when done.

Check one of the good websites you plug your rego number in to look at the parts for your car. I'm guessing it's the same.

I don't believe the LLT have a a removable coolant filler neck like the one in the video
I'll double check on my car though

Yeah looks like the LLT also has a removable filler neck. I'm guessing the gaskets would be the same
