Coolant Overflow

Hi all. How many would like to replace their overflow with a new one?

Dayco are doing new OEM style overflow bottles for Holden and Ford.

I've sent a request off with a positive response to at least look into making these and I prompt anyone with a VR/VS to do the same. The more enquiries/requests the better the chance of getting them made.

There was a post on the other commodore forum to try and get rare spares to knock some out via their wishlist Rare Spares Online Shop | Wish List
Quite a few ppl posted and sent in a request so there is a bit of interest in em....

I have done the Rare Spares one ages ago but nothing yet.

I had noticed that Dayco were getting into the overflow bottle market some time ago as we started to stock them at work. I keep checking to see if the VR/VS ones are listed every couple of weeks but nothing yet. Maybe we should start a petition and send it off for them to show there is a market for them.

Will definitely keep an eye on this thread... a nice replacement OEM style would be great... Every single one at the wreckers is buggered, full of rust or oily muck... evidently there aren't too many Ecotecs out there with clean cooling systems! Cast iron = rust lol

+1 I would love to replace mine for my new engine setup and maybe have a spare. Tried cleaning it but no luck. Been looking for ages and can never find any new ones

Good morning all VR/VS owners.

We've had a win. I've just been advised by Dayco that they have manufactured a replacement OEM style VR/VS Overflow Coolant Reservoir. Available at Burson and Repco and other independents.

Part # is DOT0036.
