so he says its got a cop chip, u have read it here that they dont exist, yet ur asking us what kind of cop chip he has?

cop chips dont exist its a mythical chip were fairies and elves live.

you can how ever tune the ecu, and move the rev limiter higher in the rev range. this is often done after the engine has been totally balanced and built from the ground up.

6,500rpm = lots of extra bits of 3800 in no time.

Just wana make jigsaw out of the engine block :)

Speak to an engine tuner and get the memcal re mapped for some extra grunt. There is a very popular bloke on the forum that spins a little magic on the 3.8's

    lol golden

    see below
    yet so true
for NA its kinda hard to get power both in the lower and upper rev ranges.. its either:
lotta low end with little top end
more mid with good low n top
little low end with more top end.

if you want this thing to bang off from the line, change your diff gears, this will get it moving quicker..

whack in your lsd but also change the diff gear ratio from the standard 3.08 (i believe) to say 4.11 it'll rev higher on the freeway doin 100, and yes will consume a little more fuel but it'll move like **** off a shovel from the line.

i think there is a how-to in the how-to section, if not, a quick google should pull up a bucket load of info, if your not machanically inclinded, buy the bits n take it to a diff specialist.

IMO 4.11s are a dumb idea in a car that ever goes on the highway. I watched a mate of mine suck down a RIDICULOUS amount of fuel on a 1hr drive at 130kph in a T5 with 4.11 gearing.

Unless you have a cam with mad duration and LSA
yes, I have an idea!! Don't bother. Unless you have a motor built to make power beyond 5500, you will only make your car slower.

The reason it's illegal is that to have a chip doesn't comply with E.P.A.
This just like any good racing chip will allow the motor to perform at it's best potential without worrying about emissions.

The cops are allowed to break the law to catch you doing so.
