Yep! Looks good, you can take it one step further and silicone a 4mm piece of mdf into that service hole at the bottom of the door. I say silicone because it holds it tight but can be removed if neccessary.

I have both doors done finished, My amp is going under passenger seat, Ive run the speaker wires into the cabin and down the passenger side under the skuff panel then under the seat.
I have my fused 4 gauge power wire into the cabin through the clutch cable grommet.

I have a couple of questions before i finish it up:
1 - while I had the scuff panel off I was looking for a good grounding spot, I ended up using a self tapper to screw it to the body about 1 inch from the rear torx screw. (I used a dremel to remove the paint etc at the contact point)
Is this a safe/good spot?

2 - Tomorrow I will remove the centre console assembly to run rca's, remote and power wires and remove H/U. I plan to run the RCA's down the passenger side of the centre console, and the power and remote down the drivers side of the centre console.
I have a twisted pair, double shielded with sealed connectors, RCA cables.
Is there any issues with this, is that far enough apart? Is this a good place to run them?

Anyway thanks to everyone that posted tips tutorials etc on this forum, I wouldnt have attempted this without those guides

Lol

As for power cable and rcas... typically down either side of the vehicle in the scuff plate is the best spot. Gives the most seoeration and by far easier than removing center console furthermore, no lumpy carpet between console and back seat.

Thanks Tasmaniak,
After reading your last post I changed the wiring plans a bit

Gives the most seoeration and by far easier than removing center console furthermore, no lumpy carpet between console and back seat.

I went with speakers wires under passenger side sill
RCA's down drivers side sill, under rear drivers seat carpet then under the very rear of centre console,
Then ran the power & remote wires under passengers side of centre console about one third of the way, then under carpet to front of passenger seat.

Hooked it all up, crossed my fingers turned the key and ....

It works!! Cant hear any extra noise/whining, sounds great! :) cheers all

cool, sounds like it's coming together for you...

Why did you put the crossover in the door? Where is the tweeter?

Why did you put the crossover in the door? Where is the tweeter?

Id seen a few vids and pics with the crossover in the door, in hindsight probs not the best spot for it.
I guess because there seemed to be plenty of room above the speaker behind the door trim, and wasnt 100% sure where else was a better spot, lol.

The tweeters I mounted in the factory positions with the factory bracket, up below the windscreen.
Ive had it all running for a few days now and it sounds great.
I dont see myself needing to change the jumpers on the crossover any time soon, the only moisture I found in the doors was near the drains at the very bottom.

But if crossover in the door is a real no-no, I will move them

its not a real no no but more a waste of speaker wire as you had to two lots of speaker wire into the door instead of one.

Ok, thx Tasmaniak,
Well I guess its time to hunt up a sub to match :)
I listen to a bit of everything but mostly rock
I was thinking 10 or 12 inch, will make the box myself, will prob go for a sealed box with a single sub
I need to match the amp I already have:

Rockford Fosgate T600-4 Channel Amplifier
4/3/2 Channel 600W Power Series Amplifier
- RMS Power Rating:
4 ohms: 100 watts x 4 Ch
2 ohms: 150 watts x 4 Ch
Bridged at 4 ohms: 300 watts x 2 Ch (2-ohm stable in bridged mode)

What range of rms wattage do I need to search in (using bridged) ie 250w rms - 350w rms range or wider? or is 300w rms the ideal number?
any suggestions on a decent sub to suit, appreciated,
budget approx $200, less prefered, more if its worth it, lol
