Hey guys and girls,
my mates 99 berlina got crashed into last satday night when he was asleep, the person left $200 on the front window and drove off, his back right door is up **** creek, wat do u guys think it will cost to get fixed? He got quoted at $1076. I think that is expensive, i told him to get a second opinion, or to look at gettin one from the wreckers. Any suggetions welcome. heres some pics

far out, too expensive. The price range should be $600, privately repaired. If insurance it'll be more, panel beaters trying to rip the insurance company off.

Look around wreakers, the colour probably could be a problem, easier if it was white.

Pretty sure the door skin is around $200 new, not including spraying.

Ive had a door skin done before. As long as it is only that panel it should be $400 to fix. Ive had one resprayed and it was $130.00, add door panel around 270 and thats your number. If there is any damage to the back bumper etc aswell it gets pretty expensive pretty quickly. Hope this helps

If its only the door, I can't really see too much from those pics I'd be going to wreckers first. You may be able to pick up a good condition door for around $100 in the same colour, its worth a shot, then just replace the internal trimmings with the current ones.

If that doesn't work, you'd be looking at around $800+ for a decent job, that door skin is screwed, the panels kinked all over the place, not a quick knock it out job.

Thanx guys, i thought it was way too over priced, yeah the door is has deep scrathes, and u cant see it in the pictures, but are some big dents on it. i think the person that hit it had to be drunk cos theres even paint on his rear wheel. Anyway thanx for the replies, ill let my mate know wat to do. Cheers:dance:
