25 years, was kicked out after a bad accident and injury in the Middle East.

Treated well, as usual...

I did my Nasho's with 6RAR 50 odd years ago... jeez, time gets away!

Did the required two years and was out like a shot (pardon the pun).

6RAR, Alamein Barracks, cool. Nice spot Enoggera! I served at 7Sig (Joint Telecommunications School), up in Cabarlah for a lot of my years. Chooks, Bears and Lineys.

I joined the Battalion in SVN then returned with it to Townsville, where I finally escaped, lol.

Cabarlah is where the spooks hang out, isn't it?

Nitrogen in pure form is not a bad thing to use as it’s not as susepatble to pressure changes with heat as the std atmosphere mix. Prob more benifit for a track day car.

No, has been proven as somewhat irrelevant for a track-day car too.
It doesn’t hurt, doesn’t adversely affect tyre performance in any way; but despite theoretical temperature stability, doesn’t make any measurable difference in the real world.

Nitrogen was originally introduced to the general public by Bob Jane T-marts, when their business was on a little downward spiral, through A Current Affairs, as a way to generate some business....They used the "racing speil" as a way to tug at the publics wallet.....And to a point it worked.....But since the initial release in the market place, the sale of it has declined greatly....

I'll let the individual decide whether they want to put it in their tyres, but if it was so terrific, every tyre store would use it...

Meh each to their own, it means you can drive with predictable pressure (handling and wear). Depends on how often you drive your car really, doesn’t it?

On a track day I may get 8psi variation with std air so u have to pump tyres up to 28psi cold to get 36hot. 28 makes for an interesting first lap.

This debate about nitrogen will go on and on, "as way leads on to way". But, I know my cars with nitrogen lose pressure far slower than those without.

No this bit works in practice, the nitrogen doesn't leak as quickly as air.
Gases being gases, nitrogen & air change pressure at the same temp are the same; the difference between the two relates to moisture in the air, whereas straight nitrogen is totally dry. The moisture is still liquid.
