We are having a hell of a time..... :'(

Part Replaced
- Spark Plugs
- Oil Filter/Service
- Vapour Canister
- Vapour Hose
- Air Filter
- Fuel Filter
- Fuel Pump
- Crank Angle Sensor

Still to be installed
- ABS module and pump

Basically we own a VX upgraded to a VY.
It drives like a dream most days but on the odd day it does this weird thing where it coughs and stuff it can also stall while driving like the engine just just gives up. Its slowly been getting worse.

Mechanic said Crank Angle Sensor - installed brand new
Mechanic then said DFI module - got a second hand one and it seemed to make things worse.

Waiting to hear from mechanic but so confused where do i go?

Try another dfi & coil packs. One that is known to be working.

We bought a working second hand DFI today with our current coil packs which have been tested as working

How long was the engine sitting before it was fitted? I would give the MAF sensor a really good clean with contact cleaner, they don't like being dirty.

We’ve been driving it daily before it was fitted. Before we bought it though it sat and we don’t know how long....

Did you change the leads when you did the plugs? They often crack and the spark shoots out to the block instead of to the plug.

Could also be your Throttle position sensor(TPS) or even a fuel pressure regulator.
