I'm with you Julie-respect for each others profession and high level qualifications is vital. Not much experience with stereo installers, but there are some appalling auto elctricians (and some brilliant ones as well)- but I could say the same about tax advisers and doctors -figure out who knows their stuff and support them-better to get the job done right first time thasn stuff around for ages.

I see it like this.. the whole test is flawed, you would have done a coarse or read some books prior to being asked those questions, so without any exposure to the material in the coarseware how the hell are you meant to answer the questions?

I'm sure anyone who's good at learning the coarseware could pass these questions, and therefore be an installer but there are other factors, do they enjoy being an installer? Do they have good people skills (something I imagine would be essential)?

A bunch of questions which we *shouldn't* know the answers to all of them won't tell us if we could be an installer lol, this is just how I feel!
