Hi guys,

I replaced my radiator because it was leaking coolant, when connecting the new radiator i bent the long air conditioner pipe on the passenger side which runs to the firewalk, all the gas sprayed out, firstly is this gas lethal? And secondly are tge pipes easily replaced? Its just and aluminum pipe.

Any help is appreciated.

Gas shouldnt be lethal. Dont directly breath it or anything. I get a bit of spray when purging lines at work.
Pipe should be available as a spare part. Gas will cost a bit though.

Cheers, Stretch.

R134a is highly lethal. Can cause death and blindness.

Only certified personnel are to repair/replace/recharge AC systems.

I'm not even going to argue with your statement. R134a is a non toxic gas, but it is still highly lethal to the human body if handled incorrectly.

Spot on, non flammable and non toxic. The danger is oxygen deprivation in enclosed spaces (heavier than air and settles low), but that's some serious Darwin Award territory.

OP you may have just bent the pipe so it pulled loose on the condenser. Wreckers should have them or you may find it's salvageable. Hopefully the condenser is okay. I did have a working one I pulled of my beast fitting the blower but alas I chucked it.

Yep that's exactly it, its as deadly as any aerosol like air freshener or deoderant

Seem to remember something about how cold the gas is aswell. And what it could do to certain body parts if contact was made.

Yep just like if you held an aerosol can right up against your skin and sprayed it.... just a bit worse
