Crank angle sensor diagnostics

Hey so I think my crank angle sensor is gone I've replaced the coil pack still can't get the car to fire I've tried the paperclip trick and I got a code reading 12 does this mean crank angle sensor is busted can somebody let me know

Error 12 is not CAS. If you are getting 12 then the ECU has not picked up any sensor faults. You need to test for spark and also for fuel at the injectors.
