Hi I have a bit of a problem with vx v6, my drive belt slipped and come off and got stuck under the crank I had to cut and yank it out while doing this I've moved the crank position can this affect the timing as it won't start no more ,the dash just lights up then nothing then sometimes kicks but only start then die in 2seconds .,could have I damaged the crank senser or just turned it out of time by moving the crank around while trying to remove the belt...if so is there a thread u guys can direct me to ,to reset the crank position

Turning the crank without the accessory belt fitted will not affect timing.

What you may have done is either damaged the crank angle sensor, its wiring or the ring on the back of the balancer depending how hard you were pulling on the belt strands.

The sensor is held in position with 2 bolt thingys and the wiring clips into the sensor but theirs also a plastic guard so you won't really know whats happened until you get the balancer off and take a good look. Maybe the plug into the sensor has been dislodged and isn't making proper contact.
How'd the belt slip, was the belt well tensioner worn?
