So not done much except replaced ignition barrel and carrier which was a prick getting shear bolt off, steering wheel lock was working first few times and now it doesnt lol. Put a momo steering wheel on as my one was worn and so expensive to get a reco one these days.
Got new indicator and windscreen wiper stalks.
Next to fit b&m pro ratchet shifter, already got drop down box not sure if to go manual surround or auto surround

Now to find a stout trimatic, cam and get my higgins heads tidied up. Was looking at going a v7 charger but too much piss farting about.

Have started stripping out a lot of the interior, as its a bit 2007 at the moment. Also been getting new door vents and odd plastic trim pieces that have got damaged over the years. Pic a part been good hunting as many granpa spec cars there that have never felt the touch of a young P plater haha
So pulled out the old facias
    [IMG]
I will get new carpet and have decided to respray my dash facias to a colour closer to standard like a satin black, like in this vs
    [IMG]
Also cant decide what to do with door trims, i like them i know some people are not a fan of them i will be changing the old wood grain that i painted blue to just gloss black.
However this is my problem i dont know what to do with the cloth part as its stained and want to retrim.
I have full ss cloth that i purchased originally to retrim the devonish seats to give them an ss look but every one is telling me to keep the senator look.[IMG]
So if i keep the senator look what should i do with inserts, if i go ss trim on seats obviously they willl be done in ss material

    looking tops.

maybe start off with getting the trims done first then see how the colours match the seats that are there now?
in all honesty I would say the all black/grey interior would make it really classy.
although the ss blue would look great, the dark colours would just be a step above

Yea mate thats my thoughts too, i am getting black carpet as easier to get than the gray, new black seat belts, all the facias etc in black. Ill see how that looks then get trims done accordingly, as think the ss trim on door trim would be too busy anyway. Thinking maybe redo the inserts in a black leather or something

good choice with what your plans are for the plastics

as for the seats. im going to have to sit with everyone else. ive never been a fan of the ute material.

i know the senator seats trim looks a little dated, but you dont see them every day.

as for the door trims, id spray the blue to the gloss black and id remove the caprice 'band aid' trim and try to find a trim close as to the grey on the senator senator seats.

Yea definitely going gloss black with the woodgrain pieces on door trims, just got new black seat belts and carpet on the way. As soon as my facias etc are painted ill get center console back in and start work on the ratchet shifter with drop down box, dekota shift indicator with led lights in original auto facia for shift positions.
Will also get a shift light in as well not sure what one to go yet.
Ratchet shifter will work with the new box as well, will be going turbo 350. Got a set of big pace maker extractors as well, that will be hpc coated.

Saw this at the start of the year. Very impressive, I couldn't believe how clean and straight the body is.

Sounds insane too! Good choice with the th350 too, should suit it well.

Another vote for the senator seat trim here :p
