Cool! I might go and have a look while he has it in the workshop.

Big job. But the outcome would be awesome. I know just the guy with the skills to make it happen too. :)

Hit me up on PM and I will send you some links to his build threads. He has just finished converting a VR Lexen to AWD, with a Blown 6L under the hood.

^^^ Email sent.

Happy to help out with your conversion in any way I can.

Not much has been happening with the old girl of late.

She is booked in next month for a trans rebuild. Poor thing gets a flogging, and it has some funky shifts going on. So better off doing the tuff rebuild now before it does let go. Got a trans cooler and a custom build trans cross member to go in at the same time. Cross member allows for a bigger exhaust to be fitted. Not like the squashed stocker. Oh and almost forgot, the 3k B&M Converter is going in at the same time. Hope to wake it up off the line a bit. Nearly 2 tonnes take a bit to get off the mark. :)

Great footage. I had to laugh at the cattle grate at speed!
Are you still running the Adventura auto (4L60/65E)?

Yeah still got the 4L60e on board. No real plans to change it. The fella building the box can get it to handle over 600 horses. So no issues there. Pretty sure even when I supercharge it, I will leave the gearbox alone.
Did toy with the idea of going manual, but at the end of the day I am pretty lazy. So much easier to just put it in D and let it do its thing. :)

Cool. After reading that magazine article with the 4L80 conversion I thought of a manual as well. Maybe better to do it academically than for real. Cheaper as well!

Just a tad excited. Hit the road in the AWD Monaro again tomorrow. Been exactly 12 months since it was last rego'd. It is heading home to its maker.

This time for a gearbox rebuild, doing as much as the budget will allow to the box in preparation for the supercharger down the track. Also getting small convertor to try and get it off the line a bit quicker, a trans cooler and a modified gearbox cross member to allow greater clearance for the exhaust, so I can finally put a proper system on it.

Stay tuned. :) :yahoo:

Just read through the thread, looks great, very special, well done car. I can imagine as you say great fun to drive and when you eventually fit a supercharger should send the smile and giggle factor through the roof

Bit of a hold up getting some specialised parts out of the US. But they are inbound now. So we will see some action as soon as they arrive.
Have to make it strong so that it will hang on once the charger gets bolted up. :)
