Hi guys sorry if i sound a bit dumb here, but im thinkin about getting some crow cams put into my sv8.I am a bit of a novice when it comes to this so i was hoping to get some advice on what i should get and also what needs to be done.eg do i need a new exhaust system..etc.to be honest i have no idea but my mechanic said i will be looking at about 4k and that the engine would have to come out to put a better oil pump in or something.

At the moment my sv8 is just standard but i would like to get it sounding a bit more tougher but not to hard out if you no what i mean.

    any advice would be appreciated!

well if your going to put a cam in your going to need to do a tune... so you might as well get a decent exhaust, an over the radiator cold air intake and a mafless tune at the same time

was the 4k for just the cam and the tune or were there other parts included in that quote?

the 4k was the total price so i assume that included the other parts as well.does the 4k sound about right?

no it's too expensive (i think)

I would stop thinking crow cams for a start. Best you go and find a decent workshop in your area the cost will be starting around 3grand for cam, springs, retainers and tune, more if other things are needed. give the shops a call in the link and have a chat with them is my opinion, they will let you know what included/involved and whats needed
