    hi every1 recently ive been having problems with my cruise control it will switch on but not set .. i have checked the upper brake switch all ok there. i have replaced the airbag scencor which was faulty according to the computer readout. i am leaning towards clock spring i think its called or coil spring ( cant remember). does anyone have any ideas???? feedback is welcome

    It isent the buttton itself is it? just an idea.. 1 button turn's it on and 2nd button set's it..
    Or is urs the series 2 stalk..

    It won't be the clock spring. Airbag, horn and audio controls is all the clock spring covers.

    Was a 1997 vt v6 wagon
    Prise the stalk end cover off, and give the tiny micro switches a spray of contact cleaner.

    Also check to make sure your brake lights are working it won't work if the brake lights are out
