Hi, Can anyone tell me why my cruise "VR Statesman" will switch off automatically sometimes, then wont immediately allow to reset.

As soon as you touch the brake it turns of?

As soon as you touch your gas it turns of?

Could any of them be the reasons.

It will turn off if you touch the brake or go below 40km/h

Also being a VR it could be a faulty stalk.

have a look at the sensor on the brake pedal, it may be misaligned or something and could be effecting the operation, i was told when i bought my car, that if the cruise started to play up, odds were that it was that sensor

Good Luck!!

mate had a vs ute and it used to cut out every 600km (maybe 1000 cant remember). apparenly it was a safety feature.

might be bullshit though.
