cup holder

I have recently bought a vx berlina and the only thing wrong with it is the cup holder wont stay down, and I know I have to replace the clips (they had it blu-tacked), that's the easy part, I cant seem to pull the holder up and out to replace the parts, is there a trick? also the console under the radio is stuck shut, I assume this had the same problem and they glued it shut lol. is it worth me fixing this as iv heard its to small to be practical anyhow? thanks for any answers

Exact same clip in both of them mate, they break all the time. Holden charge a ridiculous amount for them so here you go, VT VX VU WH Commodore/Statesman cup holder radio compartment clip catch latch | eBay

So you will need 2.

yeah iv looked on ebay, but how do I get the cu holder out?

I pulls up from the rear half.

With mine, I just open the lid and pull the lid up and it angles forward and out.

Open the lid to the cup holder and arm rest and push the rear part forward and lift up.

Sweet, I need one of these for under the radio. One of things I wasn't too fussed about but now I know where to get them from, all good. Cheers for the info gents!
