yeah thats the point i got,my gf's dad owns a few dealerships and they help emergincy services alot but yeah it was only around for like 8 months
If you have a look on vic roads you can have both plates remade for $100... i'd imagine that includes all your admin and postage so your looking at like $60 to have them made (lets jsut say)... the other $400 is for the licensing of it all... seeing as the police are special, and government run, it costs them no more to have cool plates. THis is a silly thread...
I guess the couple of days i was there 4 years ago, i happened to see 2 SA ambulances in metro Sydney.:whistling
You've taken my post entirely the wrong way sport. I wasn't trying to be funny or smart. Is it not your VP that you were referring to or some other car you use for burnouts? I would have thought it would not be the VP because of the way you obviously feel about it. If you misread me....oh, well.
Well my bad. Yes its the VP. Its an everything car Alot of people have the misconception that a burnout car is a rust bucket. Most of the times my car was on a tow truck was just poor choices of purchases on my part (namely buying from a wrecking yard). Something i've learnt from, although, being stuck halfway between Sydney and Adelaide gives you plenty of time to think
There was a pic floating around of a NSW Police car with IH8LEBS, white with blue lettering... not sure if it's legit, have picture for references though. I would've thought they couldn't have something like that...
Lmao... They wouldn't be allowed to have a plate like that, (although, for some of the Sydney Cops, im sure that statement would be true...) That is "Racist" (Although funny) and would not be condoned by the NSW Police, or any other states in Aus. Throw up the pics, I'm guessing someone had some fun with PhotoShop...
Used to be a Highway car floating around the local cop shop with number plates HWP-000 (HighWay Pooo lol) Dont see it anymore though
The RTA vets all special number plate requests before approving them for issue. Not only is there absolutely no way a police car would ever wear plates like that, there is no way that plate would ever get issued in the first place, regardless of who asked for it.
Off thread a bit, but yesterday I saw a VY Exec with YSS plates - didn't bother catching the numbers. Mounted to the left of the rear plate was a "P" plate. What a Pysser!
Hey just telling you that the NSW police went through a Trial Period testing the "RBT" or as we call it Random Breath Testing this car is to test the equipment before it gets issued to the normal Police and the NSW Police Force has a Unit Called traffic its like a Strike force Highway Patrol Squad that Has the Number Plates HWP 200-230 Hope This helps
