VZ Wagon
hi everyone,
I signed up a while ago, ive got a vz wagon with clubsport body kit.
ill just start with a bit about what im up to.

the wife wont let me have a real project car yet. 2 young boys taking up my time.....
but ive come up with the idea on building the oldest son a custom pedal car to get around the no project car thing.

My idea is to use a old Cyclops pedal car and a old chainsaw for power.

Can I post this on this forum for some ideas and feedback?

This was my first go.

I'd be keen on seeing your progress/build pics to get to that stage. Looks fantastic.

I have been right into motorised cars for my kids, dont bother with a petrol motor
- Too noisy too many people complain, winge and whine
- Too slow

Get yourself an electric golf buggy (hand wheeled carts not the one you drive), Electric speed controller for a mobility scooter 24v or 36v dont use a 12v too slow.
Rig up a throttle using a variable resister.
Battery wise either use 12v SLA batteries connected in series or build up packs using 18650 Li-on cells which are 4.2v each.

I recently converted a 49cc quad to electric for my eldest son (just turned 5) and the thing rips, first outing it spun the rears on concrete. On grass it drifts nicely, on cycle ways at kids parks it can easily chew the tread off the offroad tires they come with in 2hrs. I plan on upping the tire size Take a bit of the torque out of it and up the top speed by fitting higher profile tires from supercheap etc for hand trolleys, wheel barrows etc.
