I need some questions asked, about custom plates in victoria. 1. How much do they cost? yearly 2. can you add your rego onto a new plate? or just have to wait untill it runs out. 3. Whats the website, to check availability of a plate in victoria? Thanks guys
www.vplates.com.au plates cost around $400-500, depending on combo, once off. the only time you're charged anything extra, is when you're swapping the plates to a new car, this is $93(i know, coz i gotta swap mine to the vp). you can change your current plates to the new ones anytime, they print out a new rego sticker for you and you hand old plates in, nice and easy.
just wondering, but if I wanted to get say black and white ones, but still the number given to me by vicroads or whatever, would it still cost the same amount?
i got my stock ones done in black and white. cost is $99 for colour change and for slim plates its $11 extra a plate. $121 all up
dude i got mine done and it cost me $495.00 i was on the virge of not getting them but then i thought BLAH! WHY NOT!??!! The cost depends on what you want to put on them, theres differnt combinations and differnet pricing, theres no point in going into VicRoads and waiting in their 5000 hour lines to be told "sorry that ones taken" or "no u cant have SPREDM because it may be offensive to other drivers" PFFFT .. VicRoadRules SUCK >_< hahahahaha Log on to www.vplates.com.au <-- that Vic Roads official website for liscence plate registrations, u can look up what is taken and what Vic Roads simply wont allow you to have (profanity, racial slurs, ethnic slurs(some u can get away with loll) i personaly like FAQYUU and FAQOFF! hahahahaa also i hear that if your in melbourne it depends on which VicRoads you go to, you can get some plates but not others e.g. SPREDM i wanted originialy, i went to VicRoads sunshine and was told i couldnt get them by some oldfart behind the counter, so i got M8UWSH instead, i was later told by a mate who got SEXABL, that he went to Melton VicRoads and got away with it ... so yeah do a little homework but yeah that www.vplates.com.au website is a big help Hope this helps - Neb!
